Doctor Who: Day of the Doctor 50th Anniversary Special

Doctor Who Day of the the Doctor on Blu-ray

It’s the 50th anniversary special that every Doctor Who fan has been talking about, and it’s now available to pre-order on Blu-ray ahead of its December 2 release.

Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor features Doctors Matt Smith, David Tennant and John Hurt embarking on their greatest adventure ever.

Of course, anyone half interested in The Doctor, would have watched this recently when it premiered on TV last Saturday (it was broadcast to 94 countries around the world simultaneously), fifty years to the day that the two-hearted Time Lord first hit the screen. However, you can’t really beat the quality of blu-ray and you do get a 3D version and two mini-episodes to boot, including the Night of the Doctor starring Paul McGann, Doctor Who Explained, Behind the lens and more.

The UK version is released on December 2, in the US and Canada it’s December 10, while in Germany Who fans have to wait until the 20th December – getting it just in time for Christmas!
